Is The Global Resorts Network Product Any Good?
.
Here's my experience. Late in 2007, I tried to book a getaway using my Platinum Global Resorts Network membership for New Year's Eve. It was very last minute.
I live blocks away from the World Trade Center and I've been an avid snowboarder for a decade, so I was searching for a ski/snowboard getaway only a few hours from the city.
I selected a few resorts, including the Killington Grand Resort Hotel (named by Conde Nast's 2007 Ski Poll as one of the Top 50 Ski Hotels in the country and Killington’s only full-service mountainside hotel).
[If you want to preview what's available, go to Global Resorts Registry. You'll need a login (resorts) and password (lookfor).]
Unfortunately, due to the last-minute nature of my request, there was no availability at the resorts I selected, but get this - I was notified via telephone in addition to e-mail. Wendy was very pleasant on the phone, and told me that she'd try her best to find me something for my New Year's Eve getaway.
I received another phone call a few days later - she'd found me a resort in New Hampshire that had availability, but that didn't fit into my plans of going to a lively ski village (since my wife doesn't ski or snowboard).
At the end, it didn't work out… but I was very pleasantly surprised by how responsive they were in searching out vacation spots for me (we had several more e-mail exchanges regarding a few other locations).
I'll be honest:

But I'm sold on the Global Resorts Network product, as well. Even if I wasn't getting paid for doing nothing (yesterday I deposited another $1,000 commission check which came as a result of a team member's efforts), I now have a great luxury resort membership as well.
Note: I have a 8.2 pound Maltese dog that enjoys going with us on vacations, and most of the resorts in the GRN registry are not pet-friendly. Poor Zoey.
